Cystadnoma and cystadnocarcinoma are rare cystic tumors of the liver. It mostly occurs in women. Upper abdominal fullness and/or discomfort and a palpable mass are the clinical manifestations.

Ultrasound and/or CT scan are the most helpful imaging studies.

Cystadenoma requires complete excision because of its malignant potential while a cystadenocarcinoma does require a formal resection with a margin of normal liver.

The prognosis following surgical removal the both type of tumor is very good.
