Immune System

The immune system is the body’s means of defense. It is able to tell the difference between what is a normal part of our body (self) and what is foreign to our body (non-self). The immune system is always on guard, ready to protect us at any time.

When a foreign invader such as a virus, bacteria or foreign tissue is discovered, the immune system responds by identifying and destroying the invader.
